Shaken by mother nature

I open my eyes. It was dark. I guess it is somewhere around midnight. I saw dark shadowy figure of my roomate, My eyes is still adjusting to the light in the dark. But then it was something that woke me up. I felt the bed is moving. It is rocking up and down. Am I dreaming?

"Why are you looking at me like that!?!" the silence broke by my roomate, Ocean.

"..." Didn't reply him. I guess my mind is still trying to figure out whether I'm dreaming or not.

Suddenly.. There is a song... Coming from outside.. Cant figure out the song title..
"Your phone?" my roomate asked. Then I realise the song is coming from a phone.
"No, is it yours?" I asked back.
"No" my roomate replied.

"Hello?" That I heard from outside. That is Xmen, my housemate staying in other room. He is talking to someone in mandarin. Maybe somebody that I knew also. Then this is where I really woke up and came to my senses when I heard Xmen saying,
"What!?! Earthquake?!?!"

This is where Ocean and I sprang up in total shock. Ocean try to look outside the window while I went for my glasses. For a moment, both of us can feel the ground is shaking then it stoped. It was something that both of us know it's not normal. At least for me.

"Ei.. Pan Pan called that there is an earthquake.." Xmen said with sense of urgency.

"Grab your passport" Ocean said to me. I guess that is the first thing that came across his mind after what happened a week before. And automatically three of us went to grab our passport, wallet, sweater and our phones and go straight to the main door. I looked at my watch, it is around 12.00 a.m. Bandung time.

"Wait, I need to go toilet" Ocean suddenly blurted out and he went to the toilet. What is he thinking?!? Then Xmen and I waited anxiously in the living room. Seconds later, as soon as he came out from the toilet three of us went straight to the main door and go out of the apartment.
Outside the lift area we saw a lot of people gathering out there.

"What?!!! Waiting for lift in times like this??" that what I thought.

Then we meet up with the Cow Girl and Pan Pan in the lift area. Cow Girl even brought her whole laptop bag. Wow...that is eveready girl.

"I was sleeping leh.." Cow Girl said as if she was cursing the earthquake
"I was watching movie leh.. Going to sleep liao.. " Pan Pan continued. And we chat for a while.
Then we saw a group of people heading towards the exit sign and walk down to the ground floor. Seemingly the right thing to do, we followed.

"How about Japan Gurl?" I asked.
"We cant contact her leh.." Cow girl replied. She seems to have problem with her handphone lately

"She could be sleeping and waking her up is not easy job.." Ocean said
Then out of no where, Japan Gurl appeared in her cute pink pajamas. She stood out in the among all the people there.
"Very scary leh" the first thing Japan Gurl when she saw us. She seem to get back her voice that she lost earlier today. The quake does have some good effect on people.

"Wah.. You walked down from 15th floor ar?" either Pan Pan or Cow Girl asked. The girls chat for a while I was still trying to put my mind together.

But on the way walking towards the stairs, "Erm.. I need to go to toilet first" I told the rest. What was I thinking??!!
"HA HA HA.." the rest broke into laughter.
"You all go ahead, we will catch up.." Xmen told the girls.

As I was doing my own small little business, I thought to myself, "Man, this is it.. I've seen many movies. But right now I'm in it. This is the real deal man..What will be ending?"

As I came out, the girls is still there waiting for me. And we walked down the stairs from 8th floor(It is only 6 floors only, cause 3rd and 4th floor doesn't exist). While we were walking down, some of us even joked about it.

As we reach down the ground floor, there were already a lot of people down there. We saw a few middle eastern guys that is barefoot. I guess they got experience. Well we stay there and chat awhile, while some of us laugh and joke of what had happened just now. After around 10-15 minutes of waiting something to happen, nothing happened. It was around 12.30 a.m. and we were all tired. Then we decided to go back up and get back to our sleep.

The next day I saw in the news that the quake measured at 7.5 ritcher scale. That is quite high. Thank God, no damages is caused by the quake. Then it hit my mind, we are fragile.. Very fragile. Should the quake hit bandung at that time, I could lost my life. Yet I thank God that I'm still breathing now. And I treasure every moment of my life right now.

I give thanks that through this incident, God has shaken me to my senses, literally that people need God. Need to come back to our Creator. We can build device that can detect tsunami but we can't prevent it. We can predict bad weather but we can't stop it. And the list can go on and on and on and on to show that we are very limited.

(Rev 3:20) Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him and he with Me.

Disclaimer : Character in this story is not their real name. Fake name is used to protect their identity. :) And for those who didn't know, I'm currently working in Bandung, Indonesia. It has been more than 3 months here in Bandung.

10th dimension?

Found a cool website about explaining 1st dimension to the 10th dimension.
http://www.tenthdimension.com/flash2.php
Very interesting idea. Idea that only can come out from a human. I mean, will you find monkeys coming out such ideas? Which leads us to 1 thing, evolution does not exists!
If evolution does exists, I'll be growing wings behind my back or maybe firing red beams from my eyes or maybe I have super fast healing ability... sound familiar? Give it a thought..

New Year

woo.... i can actually feel that the "e-dust" filling up this blog. It's been a long time since I updated my blog.Well, here I am on year 2006. Wondering what lies before me. How my path should be like or bla bla... Year 2005 ended with a great..., I would say blessing. Yup... great blessing. One of best gift that ever receive. Well I gotta spend time with someone special. Thank God for that. ^_^

When I look back at 2005, it seems like it was just passby. A year with a lot of great movies... Great happening... where I got my car, where I got my salary raise, i got my company trip, meet up with new friends and even getting more closer to existing friends, understanding them more... Well, not all things that happened worth remembering. Whatever bad thing that happened let learn from it and let it just stay there. No good by letting it haunt you forever.... Just give thanks for a wonderful year...

Year 2006 started great... And I'll believe that this year will be even better that year 2006. Gotta go to bath rite now...

Something to end with,
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:16)

Give thanks always

This is not by me but when something is good, why not share it with the whole world?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth!
Worship the Lord with gladness.
Come before Him, singing with joy.
Acknowledge that the Lord is God!
He made us, and we are His.
We are His people, the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with Thanksgiving;
Go into His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him and praise His name.
For the Lord is good.
His unfailing love continues forever,
And His faithfulness continues to each generation.

- Psalm 100

It's really pretty simple.

He is God; we are not. He made us and so we belong to Him. We don't really experience our own fulfillment until we are in a position to praise Him and offer Him thanks. Any other posture is arrogance and sheer folly, not because He is unkind or lording it over us, but because He is who He is, and we are who we are. We don't get the point of our existence until we get this.

Whether you are in prison or in a mansion, alone or with family and friends – whether you are poor or rich, at war or at peace – this is true about you and it is true about me. This is not constraint. It is not praise on demand. It is sensible and true, the holy and right thing to do.

We were made for this – for the giving of thanks and the whole-hearted acknowledging of our Creator. We will do this forever. We are never really happy until we are doing this. This is not just one day out of the year to give thanks. It is our way of life every day – our lifeline with sanity, our tie to the real reason we are alive.

So while a country stops and gives thanks over an abundance of food, give thanks, not only because it is Thanksgiving Day, but because it is the right thing to dothe only thing to do.

Corpse Bride...

Went to watch this show that day before I went back to Ipoh. Watch with someone "special". hehe..

Practically this is a good movie.Though the mood thru out the movie is quite dark and moody. But there is funny moments that keep you awake throughout the movie. Tim Burton's movie is basically like this where a lot of imagination takes place. For e.g. Big Fish, The Night Before Christmas, bla bla... But definately this is an entertaining movie. Movies like this doesn't come often. Though it is short(around 1hour30min) but it worth the RM10. I guess that adds another DVD to my collection. ;Þ . RATING: 3 1/2 star out of 5 star.

Feelings...

Things does not always work the way we wanted. Maybe I should say things does not always work the way I wanted. Well I guess that is part of life... Facing problems is what that defines us, I guess... But I always thank God that He is there, always. I wonder what will become of me, if life is without Him. ;Þ
One thing that never fail to amaze me is the human capability to feel. In short a feeling is just simply mean chemical reaction within the body. But yet it can cause so much hurt. So much distress that can even cause someone to the extend of suicide. By looking at that it just amazed me what a wonderful creation we are. We are surely fearfully and wonderfully made. Praise God.

Today is Tuesday 10 Oct 2005

The time now is 7.43pm Malaysian time. Still in office after a day of tiring work. Today is nothing "special" from any other days. Thinking that my blog is still pretty empty I just want to fill up some spaces adding entry to it. Nothing "special" doesnt meant that this is a peacefull day. But this is nevertheless a great day.

Well, as usual the system is still not stable!!! But today it's different. The problems today are pretty new and never encounter before. But the good thing is that we know the root cause of it. Phew... What a relieve...Gotta give thanks. =)
Last sunday nite was pretty what I called a very "informative" night. Though it is abit scary at first but eventually I realise that every Christians is very important in playing role in todays world.

It is actually like this, the nite was my church's vision day. But I found this vision day special because it touch on facts and prediction of the bible. I manage to learn that day by day the world is going to it destruction. Seeing around the world that there is tsunami, earthquakes, hurricanes, bird flu and even denggi and who knows what dissaster in the future that is waiting for us,human kind. Seems to me that the world is falling apart by itself even though technology is becoming more and more advance with the thought that people is going to have a more and more better life. But as always not all things that are in our control. Can we control hurricanes, tsunami or even earthquake? That just show how fragile that we humans are. Everything that has a begining has an end. This stands very true in this very "physical" world. Nothing last forever... Does diamond count? =Þ This is a curse that has been pass down by everyone's great, great, great, super great, absolutely great, great and great some more grandfather - Adam =) first ever human on earth.

This bring me to a question? If we are not in control who are? The only logical answer "god la of coz... who else wor...?" But then, who is god actually is?Is there really a god? There is so many god out there who is the real god? Thank God, He found me when I was studying in TARC. I repeat He found me. Praise to Him and Him alone. That God I mean is no other that Jesus Christ himself. One of the amazing things is He can't lie. All those future prediction on the bible came to pass. Not a single thing that is left out. That mean He is in control. And that He knows everything. That He is the way, the truth and the life. This is just so great...

I once heard this from a friend, when you take out Christ from the word Christian it will left only ian. And ian stands for something I Am Nothing... =)

Just to share with you all my thoughts...

Forgive me if there is anything that might offend you..
thanks and God bless you =)

God Has a Reason

Believe it or not this is written by a 11 year old kid. It just amazing... FYI, this kid just suffer from the recent hurricane Katrina. Just imagine yourself in his shoes... Losing the loves one, losing a home or possible a family member... God bless that kid..

God Has a Reason
by Ryan MacDonald
Age 11

In times of sadness and cruelty,
God has a reason.
When the most horrid disaster dwells upon the land,
God has a reason.
The things that one would think would tear us apart,
Pull us into a brotherhood with God.

A shadow has fallen upon this nation
Only to be reshaped by love and hope.
Hearts have been broken from this storm,
And yet -- like a rose --
The thorn is sharp, but the velvet red petals are magnificent.

When this black hood of sorrow is lifted from our heads,
We will have learned.
We will have been changed by the Lord to love one another,
To help each other at any cost,
Whether the cost is life or death.

Blood has been shed.
Tears have dripped.
Now it's your turn to make a difference.
God has a reason.
