Give thanks always

This is not by me but when something is good, why not share it with the whole world?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth!
Worship the Lord with gladness.
Come before Him, singing with joy.
Acknowledge that the Lord is God!
He made us, and we are His.
We are His people, the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with Thanksgiving;
Go into His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him and praise His name.
For the Lord is good.
His unfailing love continues forever,
And His faithfulness continues to each generation.

- Psalm 100

It's really pretty simple.

He is God; we are not. He made us and so we belong to Him. We don't really experience our own fulfillment until we are in a position to praise Him and offer Him thanks. Any other posture is arrogance and sheer folly, not because He is unkind or lording it over us, but because He is who He is, and we are who we are. We don't get the point of our existence until we get this.

Whether you are in prison or in a mansion, alone or with family and friends – whether you are poor or rich, at war or at peace – this is true about you and it is true about me. This is not constraint. It is not praise on demand. It is sensible and true, the holy and right thing to do.

We were made for this – for the giving of thanks and the whole-hearted acknowledging of our Creator. We will do this forever. We are never really happy until we are doing this. This is not just one day out of the year to give thanks. It is our way of life every day – our lifeline with sanity, our tie to the real reason we are alive.

So while a country stops and gives thanks over an abundance of food, give thanks, not only because it is Thanksgiving Day, but because it is the right thing to dothe only thing to do.

Corpse Bride...

Went to watch this show that day before I went back to Ipoh. Watch with someone "special". hehe..

Practically this is a good movie.Though the mood thru out the movie is quite dark and moody. But there is funny moments that keep you awake throughout the movie. Tim Burton's movie is basically like this where a lot of imagination takes place. For e.g. Big Fish, The Night Before Christmas, bla bla... But definately this is an entertaining movie. Movies like this doesn't come often. Though it is short(around 1hour30min) but it worth the RM10. I guess that adds another DVD to my collection. ;Þ . RATING: 3 1/2 star out of 5 star.

Feelings...

Things does not always work the way we wanted. Maybe I should say things does not always work the way I wanted. Well I guess that is part of life... Facing problems is what that defines us, I guess... But I always thank God that He is there, always. I wonder what will become of me, if life is without Him. ;Þ
One thing that never fail to amaze me is the human capability to feel. In short a feeling is just simply mean chemical reaction within the body. But yet it can cause so much hurt. So much distress that can even cause someone to the extend of suicide. By looking at that it just amazed me what a wonderful creation we are. We are surely fearfully and wonderfully made. Praise God.

Today is Tuesday 10 Oct 2005

The time now is 7.43pm Malaysian time. Still in office after a day of tiring work. Today is nothing "special" from any other days. Thinking that my blog is still pretty empty I just want to fill up some spaces adding entry to it. Nothing "special" doesnt meant that this is a peacefull day. But this is nevertheless a great day.

Well, as usual the system is still not stable!!! But today it's different. The problems today are pretty new and never encounter before. But the good thing is that we know the root cause of it. Phew... What a relieve...Gotta give thanks. =)
Last sunday nite was pretty what I called a very "informative" night. Though it is abit scary at first but eventually I realise that every Christians is very important in playing role in todays world.

It is actually like this, the nite was my church's vision day. But I found this vision day special because it touch on facts and prediction of the bible. I manage to learn that day by day the world is going to it destruction. Seeing around the world that there is tsunami, earthquakes, hurricanes, bird flu and even denggi and who knows what dissaster in the future that is waiting for us,human kind. Seems to me that the world is falling apart by itself even though technology is becoming more and more advance with the thought that people is going to have a more and more better life. But as always not all things that are in our control. Can we control hurricanes, tsunami or even earthquake? That just show how fragile that we humans are. Everything that has a begining has an end. This stands very true in this very "physical" world. Nothing last forever... Does diamond count? =Þ This is a curse that has been pass down by everyone's great, great, great, super great, absolutely great, great and great some more grandfather - Adam =) first ever human on earth.

This bring me to a question? If we are not in control who are? The only logical answer "god la of coz... who else wor...?" But then, who is god actually is?Is there really a god? There is so many god out there who is the real god? Thank God, He found me when I was studying in TARC. I repeat He found me. Praise to Him and Him alone. That God I mean is no other that Jesus Christ himself. One of the amazing things is He can't lie. All those future prediction on the bible came to pass. Not a single thing that is left out. That mean He is in control. And that He knows everything. That He is the way, the truth and the life. This is just so great...

I once heard this from a friend, when you take out Christ from the word Christian it will left only ian. And ian stands for something I Am Nothing... =)

Just to share with you all my thoughts...

Forgive me if there is anything that might offend you..
thanks and God bless you =)

God Has a Reason

Believe it or not this is written by a 11 year old kid. It just amazing... FYI, this kid just suffer from the recent hurricane Katrina. Just imagine yourself in his shoes... Losing the loves one, losing a home or possible a family member... God bless that kid..

God Has a Reason
by Ryan MacDonald
Age 11

In times of sadness and cruelty,
God has a reason.
When the most horrid disaster dwells upon the land,
God has a reason.
The things that one would think would tear us apart,
Pull us into a brotherhood with God.

A shadow has fallen upon this nation
Only to be reshaped by love and hope.
Hearts have been broken from this storm,
And yet -- like a rose --
The thorn is sharp, but the velvet red petals are magnificent.

When this black hood of sorrow is lifted from our heads,
We will have learned.
We will have been changed by the Lord to love one another,
To help each other at any cost,
Whether the cost is life or death.

Blood has been shed.
Tears have dripped.
Now it's your turn to make a difference.
God has a reason.
